it’s official. my job as clara’s (our youngest granddaughter) babysitter has come to an end. she has started school. it was just yesterday that i was hiking the appalachian trail and worrying about getting back home for her birth. tomorrow we’ll going to her graduation, god willing i’m still around.
when she was willing, we’d go play at one of the many parks around. sometimes she was amenable to photo shoots. sometimes not.
when she was, they usually went pretty good. she exudes an air beyond her years at times. sometimes beyond mine. and other times, she’s a cranky toddler.
it was one of the better jobs i’ve had in my life.
