i went up to the server to get a table for our party. the hostess looked at me. “may i ask you a question? i hope it doesn’t offend you.” i’m not easily offended, if at all. “sure,” i replied. “are you hiker trash?” she asked. of course i am.
probably the best complement i have ever been given.
